Our Dental Staff

Dr. Tammy Knapp Heisey was born and raised in a small town in Southwestern Pennsylvania, Central City. From a family of ten children, she grew up with values of the importance of family, working hard, and helping others. As an oral health care provider, she is dedicated to providing personalized dental care to you and your family. With years of experience and a top-notch education, it is her goal to provide our patients with quality, comprehensive dental care that is both comfortable and convenient and hands-on skills to ensure your visit is as quick and painless as possible.

In 1987, she attended the University of Pittsburgh Undergraduate Pre-dental 3-year program, subsequently earning her Doctorate degree and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1994. She received ”The Gilbert N. Robin Continuing Education Award” for her academic success.

In 1994, Dr. Knapp Heisey commissioned in the United States Air Force and further enhanced her education by completing a one-year residency program at Offutt Air Force Base in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. In her military career as a professional and her passion for dentistry, she specialized as a Comprehensive General Dentist and furthered her training and education completing a two-year Advanced Training Dental program graduating in 2002 from Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. She served over 22 years as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Air Force.

Following her retirement from the Armed Forces, she resides in Purcellville, VA with her family. Dr. Heisey has been actively practicing in the Northern Virginia area for the past several years. In her free time, when she is not with her patients providing excellent dental care she enjoys staying active outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and learning about new things in the field of dentistry. Dr. Heisey enjoys sharing her passion for dentistry with the surrounding community, and is excited to be a part of our team.

Mary K. has years of experience in the dental field and is well-versed in all aspects of insurance submission and benefit determination. She will be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have about your benefits or claims..

I am a RDH and I have been in the dental field since 2005. I started as a dental assistant then decided to return to school to obtain my associate degree in applied science in dental hygiene. I love educating my patients, and keeping them current in their dental health journey.  In my spare time I love being with my family and being outdoors. 

I have been a certified dental assistant for 13 years. I obtained my certification through Blue ridge CTC, also furthered my education by obtaining my expanded functions certificate through the the WV board of dentistry, along with multiple other certifications. I’m passionate about educating our patients, along with making them feel at ease in the dental chair. It would be my pleasure to help you achieve your dental goals! As far as my personal life, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband and 3 children, our dog ( which is a 1 year old corgi, Lou), and kitty (1 year old Gus). Hope to see you soon!
